The following terms and conditions apply to all orders placed with Hockridge Appliance Centre either online or through any other form of communication and form part of the contract between us.
Your use of our site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions so please read carefully and if required print for future reference.
All prices include VAT. In the event that any product is shown at an incorrect price for any reason,
Prices quoted are subject to stock availability.
Within 48 hours of placing your order, we will contact you to confirm delivery arrangements. Our aim is to deliver all goods ordered within 10 working days of order confirmation. If however the product you have selected is not available at the time of ordering and has to be ordered direct from the manufacturer you will be informed when we contact you.
Payment for the order will not be taken until availability and delivery have been confirmed. A contract between us is not formed until we have processed the order and started the despatch process. We accept payment in pounds sterling by most major credit or debit cards, via our secure payment provider, PayPal is also available, although please note we can only deliver to "Confirmed" addresses.
All credit agreements are subject to a standard credit authorisation process and will have to be arranged before the despatch process is started.
Product images are for illustration purposes only and product descriptions, while as accurate as possible, are for guidance only, for example, cabinets may vary in colour or remote controls, stands/cabinets may change through the manufacturer’s production process. Some products may come as a flat packed unit and will need assembly and/or set up.
Delivery and Installation
Advice on any delivery or set up requirements will be given at the time of confirmation. We will provide a specific delivery day. Deliveries are classed as an all day call between the hours of 8.45am – 5.30pm Monday - Saturday.
Products can be installed for a small fee, to be arranged when we confirm delivery.
We do not export any goods.
We are unable to advise a specific time slot but a call will be made if any undue delay is experienced. If the pre-arranged delivery fails due to there being no one at the address to sign for the goods then the customer may be liable to pay a failed delivery charge.
If you cancel a delivery after the goods have left our warehouse you may be required to pay a cancellation charge.
All products supplied are guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from the date of delivery. Quite often there will be extended guarantee periods available free of charge and these will be clearly highlighted within the product description. Customers are asked to examine any goods as soon as possible after delivery and notify us by phone, fax or email of any fault or damage.

Recycling of Electrical equipment
We're pleased to offer our customers free recycling on all household electrical items on a like-for-like basis.
If you're not sure whether your electrical item can be recycled, have a look for the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the packaging, or on the item itself. If the symbol appears on the replacement item, this is also an indication that the old model should be recycled. Unwanted electrical items should not be placed into the normal domestic waste stream.
Electrical and electronic waste is increasing at an alarming rate and landfill sites are now approaching full capacity, much of this waste can be recycled and the WEEE regulations aim to encourage everyone to play their part in protecting the environment for future generations and reduce the amount of waste produced. Any complaint regarding goods or services should be sent to the address of the store which processed your order. Correspondence should include contact details and will be responded to within 2 working days.

Our cookies do not identify the individual user, do not store sensitive information such as name, address or payment details, just the computer used. Cookies are not used to collect any personal information.

You have the right to cancel goods within seven working days of the date of delivery. You must inform us in writing either by letter or fax of your decision to cancel.

Should you wish to cancel your order, any goods supplied must be returned as new* in original condition and all accessories, including any free gifts to Hockridge Appliance Centre at the above address at your own expense within seven days of your notice to cancel.
At this point, we will arrange reimbursement of any monies paid for goods (excluding any services paid for or collection charges) as soon a possible and within a maximum of 30 days.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. They are subject to change without notice.
