Hockridge Appliance Centre, formally known as Hockridge & Stacey, has been trading in the Launceston area for over 31 years. For 28 years we ran our business, selling and repairing electrical products from our shop in Madford Lane, Launceston.

In 2011 we opened up a new outlet on Pennygillam Industrial Estate, Launceston and changed the name to Hockridge Appliance Centre. With a larger showroom, we were able to expand the range of products we kept on display including Range Cookers and a large display of Built In Appliances.

The premises includes Free Parking and with storage facilities on site, we can offer our customers a Click & Collect option on their purchases or a Free Delivery service.

We are members of Euronics which is the largest buying group of independent electrical retailers in Europe. This enables us to buy our products at very competative prices and offer you some of the best deals in the market place.

We also have our own Domestic Appliance Engineer who can repair most appliances either in your home which would be the case with most larger appliances or in our service department for things like Vacuum Cleaner repairs. Please read our Appliance Repairs section for more details and charges.

Following a failed delivery via an alternative company we headed out to Launceston to replace the item that we had originally ordered in a bit of a hurry as we had already made space and couldn't wait a further week for delivery. We initially headed to Argos only to find that we couldn't collect the item from store, so drove on out to look for a different supplier. We were very impressed by the service that we received from Hockridge, advice was very good and we were even convinced to purchase a more energy efficient model which was obviously more costly, but balances out over time. Next day delivery was also offered, although we chose to take the appliance ourselves that day. The appliance was loaded in our car for us and off we went, very happy customers.
